Arena of Nîmes
Les Arenes de Nimes are in the city center. It is a Roman amphitheater famous historical monument dating from the 1st century AD. AD
This exceptionally well-preserved building is an architectural marvel. It is built in two levels made of 60 arches each. Its facade rises to 21m high. Elliptical 133m far it long and 101m wide. The Romans built for the entertainment of Nîmes people. Today it is a place of entertainment including bullfights and the Camargue races. Various concerts and festivals take place there. Visits are throughout the year.
To get to this beautiful and impressive building the T1 Tram'bus you deposit directly. Otherwise there are several lines close by stopping the "Square of November 11" lines A, B, H, I and K.
