Château de Monbazillac

Castle Monbazillac named after the town where it is located. It is located about 1:30 east of Bordeaux and 1 hour southwest of Perigueux.
Built in the mid-sixteenth century the castle is a great defensive building on which we can see an elegant combination of elements of medieval and Renaissance. Most of the rooms are open to visitors.
Castle Monbazillac is not just a medieval castle. It belongs to a wine producer whose production is very famous. So you can also visit the vineyard and the cellar, and taste fine wines bursting with sunshine.
Hotels and means closest Montbazillac transportation are located in Bergerac, a few kilometers north of here. There are available a railway station and an airport. Some days, the demand bus can transport you to the field of Monbazillac.
