The Promenade des Anglais
The Promenade des Anglais is a great avenue which extends over almost the entire coast of Nice, from the Pont Napoleon III to Quai des USA. So you can take a pleasant walk of about 7 km along the Mediterranean Sea. Indeed a wide footway and cycle track are available to visitors. It is decorated in a few places by beautiful trees such as coconut and its very famous "blue chairs". Its name comes from the fact that it is the English community of Nice which was built at the beginning of the nineteenth century. From here you can admire beautiful buildings such as palaces, the most famous being the Negresco, but also that of the Opéra de Nice. This avenue is also one of the central points of the Nice Carnival, or as the event battles flowers. To the west of the Promenade des Anglais is located directly Nice airport . A large number of buses are available to reach the avenue where you are eg lines 52, 59, 70 and 94.
