The Museum of Fine Arts in Marseille
The Museum of Fine Arts of Marseille is located in the 4th district of the city, in aid left the Palais Longchamp. It is the oldest museum in the city.
In this newly renovated place you can find a large number of works of art. The permanent exhibition always offer the public a limited number of 200 masterpieces but the stock is considerable new tables are regularly presented. In any museum preserves over 2,000 paintings, 300 sculptures and 3,000 drawings and other objects of French and Italian artists of the sixteenth to the nineteenth century.
An entire room is dedicated to Marseille artist well known in the region, Pierre Puget.
Sometimes temporary exhibitions are proposed. For example the works of Van Gogh have been admired here.
To get to the museum you can choose between the M1 metro station "Five Avenues Longchamp", or the T2 tram stop "Longchamp".
